(KRON) — A boba shop approved by one of the world’s biggest K-pop stars is coming to Stonestown Galleria in San Francisco. According to the mall’s website, HEYTEA is “coming soon.”
HEYTEA will be located on Level 1 of the mall. No official grand opening date has been announced, but according to store signage, this location is opening this winter.
The other cafes inside the mall are currently Artly Coffee, 85°C Bakery Cafe, Peet’s and Matcha Cafe Maiko. This will be HEYTEA’s second San Francisco location, joining Downtown Metreon.

HEYTEA went viral a few weeks ago when K-pop star Lisa of BLACKPINK showcased their drink in an Instagram post documenting the girl group’s London tour stop. The celebrity was holding a HEYTEA matcha drink in the post, which has more than 5 million likes. The boba tea company replied to her post.
“Another city, another matcha dream,” HEYTEA wrote in a comment. “Thank you for always choosing us!💚💙👑”
Shortly after Lisa’s viral post, HEYTEA even released a customized drink for the musician.

HEYTEA recently opened another Bay Area location.
A Cupertino shop debuted in August; the grand opening was met with long lines out the door. Last winter, HEYTEA opened in Berkeley, Daly City and San Jose.
KRON4 reached out to HEYTEA for more information about the opening date of its Stonestown location. We did not hear back in time for publication.
