SAN FRANCISCO — The weekend is just around the corner. Looking for something fun to do? We’ve partnered with the team at Hoodline – the hyperlocal neighborhood website, to help you plan your weekend.
It’s time for a summer celebration of good eats at a pop up restaurant, street festival, and at the Ferry Building.
For the next few weeks only, you can taste a hard-to-find Chinese snack in the outer Sunset District. It’s a soft and crispy savory crepe called Jianbing. It’s topped with a fried egg, cilantro, meats and spicy sauces. The chef says he learned from a master in Beijing and he started it here, in part, out of homesickness. They use local, and organic ingredients. The pop up restaurant will be at 2445 Noriega Street for a month.
You can also dance, eat, buy arts and crafts at the 39th annual Haight Ashbury Street Fair. It’s free on Sunday from 11a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
And finally, fresh berries and the colors of summer are coming to the Ferry Building. For one night only, celebrate the summer harvest. There will be 40 Bay Area restaurants, 20 bars and wineries offering a walk-around feast. It’s on Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
