49ers – 17, Seahawks – 13 FINAL
There ya have it, folks. Week 1 is officially in the books and the 49ers are flying back to the Bay Area with their fourth-straight win at Lumen Field. The Seahawks lose 17-13 to the Niners.
Sam Darnold fumbles late, seals the victory for San Francisco
Nick Bosa is a terror for the Seahawks and he just ruined their home opener. Bosa sacked Darnold and forced a fumble, which was recovered by San Francisco. There is 0:36 seconds left in the game.

Brock Purdy found tight end Jake Tongues for a late touchdown, and lead 17-13 with 1:34 left in the game
Seahawks retake the lead from Jason Myers field goal
Jason Myers connected from 37-yards out to give the Seahawks a 13-10 lead. Seattle took advantage of the Josh Jobe interception and came away with go-ahead points. There is 3:24 left in the game.

Josh Jobe comes up with a massive interception
Cornerback Josh Jobe may have given the Seahawks a much-needed spark in the fourth quarter, as he intercepted Brock Purdy to set Seattle up at their own 47-yard line.
Niners tie the game up
Turns out the third time is the charm for kicker Jake Moody, as his third field goal attempt of the afternoon was successful. Moody connected from 32-yards out to tie the game at 10-10 each with 9:42 left in the fourth quarter.

It has been a great afternoon for Jaxon Smith-Njigba, but he just had a play he wishes he could take back. JSN fumbled and it was recovered by the Niners.

Seahawks BLOCK Jake Moody’s second field goal attempt
Sunday is one 49ers kicker Jake Moody would like to forget. He already missed a 27-yarder before half time, and now, just had one blocked. After the Seahawks failed to capitalize on Ernest Jones’ interception, special teams bailed the offense out with a blocked field goal. The game remains 10-7 in favor of Seattle, with 2:14 left in the third quarter.

San Francisco’s opening drive of the second half ended in disaster… for them! Linebacker Ernest Jones IV snagged Brock Purdy’s pass away to steal a possession for the Seahawks.

Seahawks take the lead thanks to Jason Myers
Jason Myers connected from 48-yards out to give Seattle a 10-7 lead at halftime. The Seahawks took full advantage of San Francisco’s missed kick and earned three points of their own. The Niners will get he ball after halftime.
San Francisco misses 27-yard go-ahead field goal
Fortunately for the Seahawks, the struggles for 49ers kicker Jake Moody continue. Moody’s go-ahead field goal attempt doinked off the left upright from only 27-yards out.
49ers tight end George Kittle has been ruled OUT
George Kittle’s 2025 debut has been cut short with a hamstring injury. Kittle ends his afternoon catching all four passes thrown his way for 25 yards and a touchdown.

Zach Charbonnet ties the game up with a 1-yard touchdown run
The Seahawks responded in kind to San Francisco’s touchdown drive with one of their own. Seattle marched 51 yards in 10 plays, and were aided by a pass interference call on 4th down to extend the drive. The Seahawks took advantage of San Francisco’s mistake and made their way on the scoreboard following Zach Charbonnet’s touchdown run. Seattle and San Francisco are now tied 7-7 with 13:38 left in the quarter/half.
End of 1st quarter: Seahawks trail Niners 7-0
Seattle is marching, and at the conclusion of the quarter, they have advanced as far as San Francisco’s 7-yard line. When the 2nd quarter starts, they will face a 2nd-and-6.

San Francisco strikes first, takes an early 7-0 lead
The Niners methodically marched 95 yards in 14 plays, milking 8:22 off the clock. Their opening drive of the season started at their own 5-yard line and resulted in a 5-yard touchdown strike from Brock Purdy to George Kittle. Their drive was aided by an unfortunate roughing the passer penalty, but the Seahawks failed to get off the field in plenty of other crucial situations along the way.
Nick Emmanwori limps off the field
Following a tackle of 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, Seahawks rookie safety Nick Emmanwori was banged up on the play. Emmanwori limped away from the scrum back to his position in the secondary, trying to walk it off, but sat back down on the field. After being attended to by trainers for a few minutes, Emmanwori walked off the field under his own power.

Seahawks punt on the opening drive
Seattle’s first drive of the game started off promising. Sam Darnold threw his first pass on the first play of the season, which was an 18-yard strike to Jalen Milroe. A short run by Kenneth Walker III was followed up with Jalen Milroe taking a direct snap as quarterback and rushing for only a yard. A completed pass to AJ Barner on 3rd down went for no gain, then Seattle took an intentional delay of game penalty for slightly better field positioning for a punt.
