SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — “Let’s Glow SF,” which is billed as “the country’s largest holiday projection event,” returns to downtown San Francisco Friday night. The newly expanded event will include seven locations around downtown and will run nightly from Friday, Dec. 6 through Sunday, Dec. 15.
‘Lighthouse’ in middle of San Francisco Bay has opening for new keeper
The event features large-scale animated light installations projected onto the exteriors of iconic buildings around downtown. The light installations have been created by 16 different artists from around the world, according to the “Let’s Glow SF” website.

In addition to the seven light installations, this year’s event will also feature projections at Annie Alley in Yerba Buena and an art installation at The Crossing at East Cut. The complete list of locations for this year’s “Let’s Glow SF” includes:
Pacific Coast Stock Exchange
This year’s event kicks off Friday night with a “Countdown to Glow” in front of the Ferry Building with entertainment beginning at 5 p.m. with entertainment and opening remarks at 6:30 p.m. The light shows will officially turn on at 7 p.m.
The following Friday, Dec. 13, Let’s Glow SF will hold “Glow on Front: A Neon Block Party,” along Front Street, the state’s first Entertainment Zone.
“Let’s Glow SF” runs nightly from Dec. 6 through Dec. 15 with nightly shows from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. The event is free and is hosted by the Downtown SF Partnership.
