The event will pit teams of celebrities and professional pickleball players against each other in a lively evening of “pickletainment.”The teams will compete on a court on stage at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco. The event organizer says it will be a party-like atmosphere and it will benefit a local nonprofit Positive Coaching Alliance which strives to create a positive youth sports environment. One of the celebrities playing includes former UFC fighter Urijah Faber. “There’s a ton of programs here locally that positive coaching alliance has touched,” Faber said. “This is a great cause we are playing for on top of it being a fun event.” Other celebrities playing include Northern California sports icons Terrell Owens, Chris Mullin, Hunter Pence, Brandi Chastain and more.
