This weekend’s event, the Oracle San Francisco Sail Grand Prix, will see 12 teams battling it out in identical 5-foot foiling catamarans that hit wind speeds topping 60 miles per hour. The two-day racing event will mark SailGP’s fifth visit to the SF Bay, playing out against a backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge.

The SF event is the second U.S. SailGP this month, following last week’s event in Los Angeles.
“Set against the backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco is one of the most iconic SailGP venues and the perfect place to watch the 12 teams battle to establish early dominance in the 2025 season,” read a statement on the event’s website.
