Germany’s largest chipmaker, headquartered in Neubiberg near Munich, is taking over the Brightlane automotive ethernet portfolio of its California competitor to combine with Infineon’s own automotive microcontroller portfolio, intending to strengthen Infineon’s activities for software-controlled vehicles.
