Former Western Kentucky football standout Upton Stout was selected in the 2025 NFL Draft on Friday night.
The 5-foot-9, 181-pound defensive back was selected by the San Francisco 49ers with the 100th overall pick in the third round.

Stout recorded 52 tackles, one interception and a pass breakup in 12 games during the 2024 season. He also had a team-high 7.5 tackles for loss and a sack. He earned first-team All-Conference USA honors from the coaches.
The defensive back spent his freshman season at North Texas, where he recorded 35 tackles and three pass breakups in eight games.
