On Monday June 16th, join us at the American Cathedral in Paris from 4pm for a concert by The Blackhawk choir from San Francisco, for a unique musical afternoon in the 8th arrondissement. Free admission!

Come and vibrate to the rhythm of Californian voices in an exceptional setting!

As part of their tour of France, the Blackhawk Chorus, a choral ensemble of 60 singers from the San Francisco area, will give an exceptional concert on Monday June 16 at 4:00 pm at the American Cathedral in Paris, located in the heart of the 8ᵉ arrondissement, a stone’s throw from the Champs-Élysées.

Founded in 1991, the Blackhawk Chorus brings together passionate amateur singers of all ages and backgrounds. Driven by a formidable spirit of camaraderie and a deep love of choral singing, the ensemble has been shining on the California scene for over 30 years.

Since its creation, the choir has been directed by Ken Abrams, a conductor renowned for his musical sensitivity, artistic rigor and communicative energy.

On the occasion of their visit to Paris, the singers of the Blackhawk Chorus invite you to a rich, colorful and festive program, conceived as a veritable transatlantic musical voyage. You’ll hear emblematic pieces from the American tradition, soulful gospel tunes and film music, as well as a few delightful French surprises revisited with charm and emotion.

The program includes:
– Cerf-volant – Bruno Coulais
– La Vie en Rose – arr. Rutherford
– Pavane for a Silent Night – Ravel / arr. Liebergen
– The Light of a Clear Blue Morning – arr. Craig Hella Johnson
– Chanson d’Amour – arr. Paul Hart
– Paris Medley(Sous le ciel de Paris, I Love Paris, April in Paris)

The choir will be accompanied on piano by the talented Kenji Harada, a musician and arranger active on the Californian music scene.

A not-to-be-missed event!
This concert, entirely free of charge, is open to all lovers of choral music, to the curious, to strollers, to families… in short, to all those who wish to experience a beautiful moment of sharing and musical emotion in a prestigious and inspiring setting.

Come and celebrate music, summer and Franco-American friendship with simplicity and heart!
