San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy drops back to throw a pass.
Against all odds, the San Francisco Giants won the World Series in 2010, 2012 and 2014.

After an off-year that followed a Super Bowl appearance, Brock Purdy and the 49ers wouldn’t mind a similar rebound.
A major turnaround wouldn’t come as a huge surprise since nothing seemed to go the team’s way in 2024. Fans will likely point to untimely injuries — Christian McCaffrey, Nick Bosa and Brandon Aiyuk all missed time — along with special team troubles and lingering effects of the 2021 draft as culprits for the team’s dismal 6-11 finish.
Finger-pointing and excuses aside, now is the time for the franchise to right the ship.
“All we’re talking about is how…we get back to playing good football,” head coach Kyle Shanahan said, according to 49ers Webzone. “…it’s about becoming the best football team you can be and nothing else. And I do believe when we get to Week 1, I believe everyone in our building will be confident that we can win that Sunday. And I believe we’ll [believe] that the next week.”

If you want to be there to root the Niners on toward their quest to be the best football team they can be, tickets are available for all 2025 home games at Santa Clara’s 68,500-seat Levi’s Stadium on sites like Vivid Seats as of today.
That includes huge matchups against their divisional rivals, the Arizona Cardinals (Sept. 21), Los Angeles Rams (Nov. 9) and a season-ending contest with the Seattle Seahawks on a date yet to be determined.
Should everything go according to plan, the squad could pull a 2010-14 SF Giants and advance to the 2026 Super Bowl, which, in case you weren’t aware, is scheduled to go down at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 8.
