Morstead signed with the 49ers on Wednesday.
The 39-year-old was released by the Jets earlier in May, but he’s already found a new home in San Francisco. Morstead has been in the NFL since 2009, receiving second-team All-Pro honors once across his 16-year career. He’s now expected to serve as the 49ers’ top punter and holder in 2025.
