The NFL on Wednesday released report dates for each team’s training camp.
San Francisco 49ers players will report on July 15, with the first practice of camp scheduled for July 22. The full training camp schedule hasn’t been released yet.

They typically hold open practices before their preseason schedule begins. After that practices are closed to fans as the team’s preparations begin in earnest for the 2025 season.
Camp is always important, but it will be particularly crucial for the 49ers this season with so many new faces and young players on their roster. OTAs and minicamp provide some opportunity to prepare, but camp is where real movement on the roster and depth chart happens.
One key thing to watch leading up to camp is the status of wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk who is recovering from a knee injury he suffered in Week 7 last season. It’s unlikely he’ll be ready for the start of camp, but as camp draws closer we should get some idea of a timeline for his return.
Something we won’t need to watch this year is whether the 49ers will have all their players in camp. With no extensions still lingering after George Kittle, Brock Purdy and Fred Warner all got their new contracts done before mandatory minicamp in June, the team should have full participation with no financial drama to work through leading up to the regular season.
