Giants at Diamondbacks, 6:40 p.m., FS1, Cox, Ch. 34
Diamondbacks RHP Ryne Nelson (4-2, 3.71) vs. Giants RHP Logan Webb (7-5, 2.52)
At Chase Field: Nelson is 2-0 in his past three starts, with a 1.15 earned run average, 14 strikeouts and six walks. In his past two starts at Chase Field, he has not allowed an earned run over 11 ⅔ innings. Nelson has pitched well against the Giants in his recent past, with a 2-0 mark in his last five starts against San Francisco since 2023. He has a 2.10 ERA and 17 strikeouts over that time frame. … Webb is one of the reasons the Giants are contenders for the postseason. He enters Monday with six straight quality starts (minimum six innings pitched, three earned runs or fewer). He is certainly an All-Star candidate, being among the National League leaders in innings pitched, strikeouts and ERA. The rediscovery of an effective change-up has helped Webb a great deal this season.
